Keven and Daniel, thanks so much for the support you provided to Barbs and me in financing our recent property ambitions. We greatly appreciated your care, thorough review and insights that led to a great outcome.

Also appreciate the connections into the broader community that helped with other details on buying and selling.

Daniel Sutcliffe

Investment Lending Manager

Daniel Sutcliffe is one of ALIC’s associate investment lending managers. He brings more than six years of financial sector experience – including four years working for NAB – to the role.

As an AILM, Daniel coordinates closely with lenders, working with his loan processing team to find mortgage solutions for clients. His roles at NAB, which included leading the home loan servicing team leader, give him a unique perspective on how lenders evaluate applications and consider risk.

Daniel’s lending ethos derives from the concept of ethical lending: understand what clients want, educate them about building wealth through property, then model different lending pathways for them. The biggest loan isn’t always the right option – it’s about finding the mortgage that supports each client’s long-term objectives, Daniel has a passion for helping first time investors learn about the process.

When he isn’t holding client meetings or writing applications, Daniel spends his time playing AFL – he’s a convert from the world of basketball – and spending time with his fiancé.

Daniel received a from the University of British Columbia and Swinburne University of Technology. He also holds a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broker Management.

“When it comes to moving forward with a mortgage, I always lay out different lending scenarios for my clients.

If the modelling around some of those scenarios doesn’t align with a client’s objectives – which could be financial or lifestyle-related – then we’ll have a transparent discussion about which type of loan is best for them.

It's about securing the right mortgage, not the largest one available.”
